Kelsey of @kelseys_korner_ walks us through how to make a 3D dragon tumbler using our UV epoxy resin!

For this video demo, We will need the following:
- A clean tumbler
- UV resin
- Mixing cups, gloves and wooden mixing stick
- UV lamp
- Black Diamond pigment - Kiwi
- Black Diamond pigment - 24k Gold
- Black Diamond pigment - Sapphire Metallic Blue
- Dish wash liquid
- UV lamp
- Paper Clay
- Tumblers Coating Epoxy Resin
- Blow torch
Step 1:
We will start with the scale effect. Apply small amounts of colored UV resin on to a small section of the tumbler. We are working in small sections to avoid runoff. Not recommended to cover the entire tumbler at once.
Step 2:
Using the dish soap, we make some bubbles and blow some of the bubbles onto the surface. Or just scoop some and wipe it on to the colored UV resin from the previous step.
Step 3:
Let it cure under UV light. After a couple of minutes under the UV light, we can wipe the bubbles from the tumbler.
You will see the effect the bubbles created.
Step 4:
Repeat the same process above until the tumbler is covered with the scale effect. Overlapping is ok.
Step 5:
We used paper clay forms to give the effect of eyes on the dragon and other parts. LIghtly coat the forms with UV resin and apply it to the tumbler. Let it cure with UV light.
Before moving to step 6, this is where we get extra artsy. We can mix more UV resin with different colored pigments brush it on with a paint brush and even add more design features.
Once we have the finished design then we move to step 6 and seal it all in with the Tumblers Coating Epoxy Resin.
Step 6:
Mix a small amount of Tumblers Coating Epoxy. It is a 1:1 mix ratio. We slowly mix together an equal part of part A and part B. Please scrape both the bottom and edges of the mixing cup for approximately 2-5 minutes.
Once properly mixed, we can brush the epoxy resin mixture on the tumbler.
This may require turning the spinner on and off several times in order to coat the unique designs.
Step 7:
Once the entire tumbler is evenly coated and the spinner is back rotating, we can release micro bubbles using a small blow torch or heat gun.
