Mixing paints and acrylics with epoxy is not recommended.
Here’s why... resin is a byproduct of oil. So acrylic-based, water-based and even some oddly blended oil-based pigments don’t mix well. They can get clumpy and even leave a weird film on the finished product.
We recommend Mica powders, concentrate/solvent-based pigments as additives to create your desired colors.
Powders like Glow powders and mica powders can also be incorporated in our epoxy as long as the powder doesn’t exceed 5% of the total mixture.
Always test small if you do try outside our recommendations... but we do have some color options within our site if you need.
We have some in our shop too if you need.
The possibilities are endless, check our website to see all our products.

I mixed 1 part epoxy with 2 parts water based paint, the result was Kamala Harris. I would like to know how to reverse the mixture. She just keeps laughing like The Joker, and saying, “I’ve been to the border”. Anyway, thanks for all your content.

P.S. And as a newcomer to the art I very much need and would greatly appreciate a giveaway from your company. Thank you.

Thank you for your advice. As a new comer to the art I need all the help I can get.

I mixed 2 part epoxy with a couple metallic acrylics today and as I swirled the epoxy (for effects) the epoxy started bubbling up and smoking a little. The plastic container I was mixing in became hot as well, nearly catching on fire. So I’m not sure where I went wrong, but I would highly recommend buying those colored powders sold on this sight as other methods seem to be quite dangerous to say the least. Lol
